Specials
Originally foreseen as mothership for the Chinese navy. Bought 1938 for the German Kriegsmarine as S-boat-tender for the 2.S-Flotilla. On 1.3.41 "Tanga" served the newly formed 6.S-Flotilla. On 15.10.41 the ship was assigned to the new Admiral Nordmeer. "Tanga" served hin until October 1942 as Staff-Ship. Thereafter Derefter operational for S-Boat-School-Flotilla. 1943 tender for S-Boat-Trainingdivision. From January 1945 tender for the newly formed 11. S-Flotilla.
Whereabouts: until 1947 at GM/SA; 03.12.47 US-loot; 20.06.48 left to Denmark (Tender "Ęgir" A 560); 1967 broken up.
