1. S-Flotilla

Initially formed as 1. UZ (S) Halbflottille, renamed 1932 1. Schnellbootshalbflottille and 1935 renamed 1. Schnellbootsflottille.

 Decomposed 15.10l1943. The personnel was transferred to 24. SFltl. Newly formed 01.09.1944 in the Baltic under temporary command of Kptlt. Bludau, decomposed April 1945. As part of the flotilla "S 170" and "S 208" as test-vehicles for the new MB 518-motors were noted.

 

21. S-Flotilla

Formed September 1943 with LS-Boats. After loss of all boats decomposed 12.10.1944.

The Flotilla looses al boats until 12.10.1944 and is closed down. The personnel marching northward is employed in land-battles at times.

 

22. S-Flotilla

Formed November 1943 with LS-Boats and Italian loot-boats.

24. S-Flotilla

In 1942 a Schnellboots-Schulflotilla was established at Swinemünde.

Subordinate to S-Boots-Lehrdivision were three Schnellbootsschulflotillas and the 1. Schnellbootlehr-Department.

 (School-Flotillas), of which the 1. S-Schul-Fltl was transferred to Norway in January 1945 nach Norwegen (based at Egersund) and the2. S-Schul-Fltl from early 1945 was employed in minewarfare in the Baltic and in evacuation of refugees and the Kurlandarmy.

 

1. Schnellboots-Schul-Flottille

Formed 01.11.1943 at Stettin.

Begleitschiff "Adolf Lüderitz".

The flotilla with "S 62", "S 79", "S 86", "S 89", "S 109", and "S 133" was transferred to Egersund/Norway in January 1945.

2. Schnellboots-Schul-Flottille

Formed in April 1944 at Stettin.

The flotilla with "S 64", "S 69", "S 76", "S 81", "S 83", "S 99", S 117", and "S 135" was employed in minewarfare in the eastern Naltic from 1945 and was involved in the evacuation of refugees and the Kurland Army.

 

3. Schnellboots-Schul-Flottille

Formed in June 1944 at Stettin.

Begleitschiff "Carl Peters".

The foltilla with  "S 19", "S 20, "S 24", "S 25", "S 50", "S 68", "S 82", "S 95", "S 97",
 "S 101", "S 103", "S 105", "S 107", "S 113", "S 115", "S 116", "S 118", "S 120", "S 122", and "S 123" was shortly before the end of war transferred to Svendborg/Denmark
and was involved in the evacuation of refugees and the Kurland Army. "Carl Peters" sank due to a minehit at anchors in the Gelting Bight 14.05.1945.

 

Detachment of S-Boats to other Units

Commencing 1940 some S-Boats were detached to other KM-units outside the S-Boat-Force.
